I have developed talks to relate to and encourage students through topics tha

Independence Day Greetings to all - from Team AccessAbility.

Michael Wiley, a triple amputee who lost both arms & a leg when he was 13, demonstrates how he drives in the driveway of his US home. Media recently turned spotlight on Wiley as he awaits trial on charges of illegal drug posession and habitually driving with a revoked license.

US President GW Bush jogging with Army Staff Sergeant Christian Bagge at the White House. Sergeant Bagge, 23, lost both legs last year in a roadside bomb in Iraq.

Sivaraman aged 55 is an excellent driver now. He met with an accident and lost movements of both legs in 1980’s because of a spinal injury. He was in bed for several years afterwards. His sheer will power made him a driver now. He was not able to sit in a wheel chair also.

The vehicle was modified to operate only by hand. Special seat is provided. He has to be lifted and put in his seat by someone. He can drive in any busy road. This is a report from Mathrubhumi a vernacular daily from Kerala.

Icons of various games that will be played in the Bejing Paralympics

Israeli extreme athlete Dror Cohen, who won gold medal in sailing in the Athens 2004, is gearing up to take on the Paris-Dakar race. The race is THE hardest off-road race in the world: almost three weeks, 10,000 km of racing and, between stretches of driving, participants must camp out in the Sahara desert. Dror will be competing against several able bodied racers in this event.
