  • Access Consultant, AccessAbility, New Delhi, India (November 2006 – present)

    Programme Manager, Svayam. Svayam, a CSR initiative of Jindal Saw Ltd, aims at promoting self reliance amongst people with disabilities through Inclusive Environments. (February – November 2006)

  • Access Consultant, for Handicap International at Delhi (May to July 2003)

    Peer Counselor at the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre for 6 years. My work involved assisting women with new injuries and disabilities coming to terms with it. (1996 – 2002)

  • Co-auditing for the editing of a book titled “Access in London” written by Mr. Gordon Couch, published by Quiller Press, London, UK (July and August 2002).

  • Course Coordinator & Master Trainer, “Access for all – A New Initiative” (a series of six workshops) organised by the office of Chief Commissioner Disabilities with participants from all States & UnionTerritories of India(July 2001 to March 2002).

  • Co-authored a training manual for the Government of India titled ‘Planning a Barrier Free Environment’ that is a widely used resource by architects, designers, interior designers, engineers and people with disabilities (June 2001)

  • Member, National Core Access Committee, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India (May 2001 - Present).

  • Technical Advisor and Board Member of ‘ACCESS’, a NGO/ Voluntary organisation promoting architectural access and independent living for people with disabilities (October 2000 - present).

  • Access Consultant, conducted access audits of several Government buildings including the Shashtri Bhawan and the Nirman Bhawan and provided recommendations making them accessible

  • Guest Lecturer at schools of Architecture on Inclusive Environments
